[1990] |
| • While the Gulf War was triggered
in the Middle East, the SCUD band explodes in the city
of Teresina
– Brazil, breaking down the barriers of culture
and defining a regional style wich involved the youth
throughout the country. |
| • In times that
the bands still show their work in cassette tapes,
the famous demo-tapes, which many thought at the
time that it was "the devil´s tape",
the SCUD launches it´s first recording in
91 with the title of: “LAMPIÃO”
(Gang leader which made history in northeastern
Brazil), with 8 tracks, which already showed full
power of the musical trio formed by Marcelo Alelaf
(bass / lead singer), Thyrso Neto (guitar / backing
vocals) and Maurício Barros (drums). The
demo-tape “LAMPIÃO” came with
major repercussions throughout the north / northeast,
but also commented, in the means of dissemination
in the south / southeastern Brazil. |
 |
|
| • With full house into all shows
performed during the disclosure of the compact “SHOUT”,
in 93, the SCUD band showed strength in all its stages.
With the rise of the CD, the album still has a projection
get beyond the fury of “LAMPIÃO”
with their 2 bonus tracks “BEAN
WITH RICE” and “SHOUT”.
This last has become an anthem of all headbangers of
northeast region. |
| |
| |
| |
| • At that time, the change in
the band was powerful, the SCUD was a quartet, with
the coming of Joe Ferry for the second guitar, and Fawster
Teles for the bass, replacing the lead singer Marcelo
Alelaf, now happened to play guitar. In this period,
with the launch of the compact “SHOUT”,
the band showed all his seriousness, professionalism
and talent, which made the name SCUD through the pages
of the best specialized magazines in the country and
the music title be widely played on commercial hours
in the best radios. |

[2000 - 2005] |
• In turn of the twentieth century,
and coming in with the right foot in the new millennium,
the SCUD breathes the beach air, as the band is now
established in the hometown of its members, Parnaíba.
• It is the capital of the "Parnaíba
River Delta´s", the only delta of the Americas,
that the SCUD resolves to return to their origins and
attack as a power trio, with Marcelo Alelaf (guitar
/ lead singer), Klécius Oliveira (bass) and Fábio
Nascimento (drums). |
| • In 2003 brought to their
fans the Demo -CD "SHUT EYES," with
just a single, but that shows all the energy present
in the SCUD band. Soon, the music “SHUT
EYES” would be chosen to be part of
the PIAUÍ POP 2005 - DVD, the largest music
event from Piauí. With the departure of
Klécius Oliveira(bass), but with the destination
generous given to those who always struggle and
strive to achieve their dreams and ideals, or
perhaps the peculiar meaning that the band name
carries: SCUD - "Clouds taken by the Wind",
the name given to the album debut of the band
- Fawster Teles (bass) arrives soon enough to
take his final post of the band. In the launch
of “Clouds Taken By The Wind” show
in 2006, it was noted the chemistry involving
this power trio formed by the noise and consistency
claw and passion of it´s members for music. |
